What's your take on the new show "The Vampire Diaries"?

the people who play stephan and damon look a too old to play this part i fell in love with this series the and i read them all in two days. i don't think that you guys chose the right actors and actresses.i think i will fall out of love with this series even though it is beautifully wrote

i read the whole series an this doesnt sound like them cuz elena was blond and they talked about that A LOT in the book and

I'd like to know why there are so many differences between the books and the TV show? I may not watch this because it strays from the book series too much
