Annie Wilson (Shenae Grimes, 'Degrassi: The Next Generation')

Annie is 16 years old, likes musical theater and is nice and sweet. At first, her look will be straightforward and earthy, with lots of T-shirts, jeans and denim skirts. By the third episode, the Bev Hills influence will strike Annie and she will become trendier and more designer-oriented.

“This family moves from Kansas City so in order to show a visual relationship of them arriving and being fish out of water, I thought the palette for the family would be warmer and relaxed,” McGuire said. “And then as they acclimate to Beverly Hills society they might then be influenced by whatever’s going on. But in the beginning we have to see an evolution.”

The 19-year-old Grimes, who calls herself a fashionista, is loving every second: “This is certainly not ‘DeGrassi.’ We were in American Eagle all the time. I’m appreciating every moment of it. I’m in awe every time we get dressed.”
