Petersburg Police tell CBS 6 there is a 7-foot-long, 50-pound python missing in the city.
The man who owns the python tells police his pet disappeared from his home in the 200 block of Henry Street early Tuesday morning.
The snake is described as having a dark pattern of green, black and brown with a distinctive mark of a cross on the top center of its body.
Police say if you see the snake, call police and do not try to handle her.
