Auburn Police Officer Honored As All-Star Officer of the Week

Officer Sam Betz of the Auburn Police Department is being recognized for his hard work. He's done many things for fellow officers and for the community.

Here's a few things Officer Betz is being recognized for:

Officer Betz once came across a fellow officer who was choking at the station. He gave him the Heimlich and was successful in saving the officer.

Officer Betz chased down 4 juveniles that had stolen a purse and ran from him. He was able to take all 4 into custody by himself.

He was able to get a confession at the crime scene from a shooter in an attempted homicide case.

But on top of all this, Officer Betz is among the top in his crew in self initiated contacts and arrests.
