NORTHGATE MALL, SEATTLE—
Brazen getaway caught on camera.Checkout the video for yourself. In the first one you see the guy running down a back hallway at Northgate Mall last month, after cops say he stole jewelry from 'Claire's Boutique', and assaulted two women working there - yelling at one of them to give him oral sex, then trying to pull her head towards his crotch.
When you watch the video, you'll see mall security chasing him on one of those 'Segway' scooters, but he's a long way's behind.
That was the end of the mall cop pursuit, but the 2nd piece of video we've attached shows the beginning, and Crime Stoppers' Myrle Carner talks us through it.
Now, you must be wondering why the two mall security guards didn't do more to stop the guy, but it's a frustrating fact that they're not allowed to physically detain anyone - only "observe and report"
